Northeast Tennessee Workforce Investment Board services are available to employers and job seekers through the Northeast Tennessee Career Center system. The statewide Tennessee Career Center system is where employers can hire workers and job seekers can fine job openings. Additional services to employers and job seekers are listed below.

   

Services available to employers are:

  • Clearinghouse for applicant recruiting, screening and assessment

  • Job profiling

  • Pre-employment training and education

  • Access to information concerning unemployment compensation, targeted tax credits and other hiring incentives

  • Customized training

  • Applied workplace education

  • Labor market information

  • Small business services

  • Liaison with economic development efforts

Services available to job seekers are:

  • Career planning and development

  • Assessment

  • Clearinghouse for education and training programs, including online training

  • Job placement and follow-up assistance

  • State of the art technology access, internet and distance learning opportunities

The Northeast Tennessee Career Center system is designed to promote more responsive outreach to local employers and ensure that workforce development resources are allocated to meet employers needs through the development of a highly skilled workforce using a network of comprehensive training services.
